A Look Back at Ric Flair Finance

Editor's Note: Back in 2007, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair launched Ric Flair Finance, what seemed like the next step in "Slick Ric's" storied career. Sadly, Ric Flair Finance only lasted a year (arguably because it was ahead of its time). Join me as I look back at Ric Flair Finance.

Like most wrestling fans, I feel the financial pinch from time to time whether it's buying tickets to Wrestlemania, keeping up with WWE PPV's, or buying championship belts from down and out wrestlers on eBay. We all know that being a fan of professional wrestling can be costly but how do you go to the bank and apply for a loan so you can arrange for a private wrestling session with April Hunter? Fans no longer need worry about the embarrassment or aggravation of dealing with overly inquisitive lenders now that one of wrestling's biggest spendthrifts has cash available for the asking.

Yes, none other than "Nature Boy" Ric Flair is now offering loans through his newly formed Ric Flair Finance (RFF) . According to the information stated on the web page, Flair's new company promises to help borrowers avoid the hassle of dealing with federally insured banks by linking them to financiers from "Slick" Ric's approved network of lenders.

I checked out the 16 time World Champion's web site, eager to see what the leader of the Four Horsemen, mentor to Triple H, and purchaser of $16,000 bath robes had to offer. I was immediately impressed with the home page's impressive layout and the strong corporate image portrayed by Flair on the main page. With Flair adorned in one of his finest ring robes, I couldn't help but wonder how long before Ric Flair Finance is mentioned in the same breath as Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. Flair's stately image projects the extravagant lifestyle fans remember from the heyday of the Four Horsemen perfectly via the slogan "Forget the rest. Just work with the best! Wooooo!"

Combining the financial wizardry of J.P. Morgan and James J. Dillon, Flair's company offers a "Figure Four Process" designed to make asking for money as easy as carrying a broom (or Hulk Hogan) to a five star match. As eloquently stated on the web page, "With Ric Flair in your corner, you're bound to win. Woooo!"

It's good to see Flair giving back to the fans that have supported him throughout the years by sharing his secrets of how to get cash fast when you need it desperately. Given Flair's intimate familiarity with the difficulties of costly divorces, lavish spending, and I.R.S. bills, you can be sure that Flair's network of lenders have dealt with just about every financial situation imaginable.
